We safely extracted our 86 Westy out of storage this morning. Engine started on the first crank. I disconnected the distributor and turned it over a few times first to throw some oil around. The clackity clack clack of the valves stopped after about 15 minutes of easy driving back towards Halifax. This drive home reminded me that I would really like to install cruise control. This Westy is an automatic (rare bird). How should I install cruise control? Can I install any old Canadian Tire unit or should I be more particular? Cheers, Dan 86 Westfalia Bedford, Nova Scotia |
