I thought for a moment you were talking about the DoKa canopies - they are $4100 CAD from the dealer if they can still get 'em! Hi Volks: Please help me learn more about subject canopy, especially it's market value. I have never seen one of these canopies before, even at VW gatherings. I obtained a VW awning/canopy last summer, from a CDN serviceman who was stationed in Germany in 1983/4. It had been in garage storage for most of it's existence. He bought the canopy new as a factory option with his German-delivered vanagon (83 or 84). The Canopy is very similar to the original bus tents, except it does not have side walls. It just has a 6 inch or so fitted overhang from the roof. It can connect up to the rain gutter, just like the VW tents can. It can also stand alone, just like the bus tents did, and has a similar/identical? skeleton frame. The colour is tan, and it is absolutely complete, and in VGC.
