I think there is always going to be some air in the top, due to the design of the tank. Probably intentional. Gas will compress, liquid will not. Jay

So I take it that there should never be air in the pressurized tank? If exhuast gases are getting into the coolant, is that deffinately the heads or could it be something in the case as well? I had this happen 2 years ago (approx. 20k miles) and the tank is becoming over-pressurized again. I just want to (if at all possible) determine whether it is solely a head problem or if there may be a problem with the case as well. Sean B.
