I'm new to the list having just purchased an '87 Westy that needs a few surface rust spots attended to. I plan to sandblast the spots to bare metal and to paint them over with some POR 15 rust treatment. I then plant to apply some body filler to smooth out the spots, prime and repaint with some matching spray can paint that I bought. The rest of the paint is reasonably good and I don't want to spend a fortune on the body. Is this a reasonable approach or does anyone have any better ideas? Any help would be appreciated. Gerry |
