No, because the oil pump will just pump more oil until the line is full. Once it's full, i.e. at system pressure, the flow stops, but even if the line should start to leak the pump would still pressurize it until the pump output balanced against the flow through the engine plus the additional flow through the leak.

Even if there were only a tiny pinhole-size bore in the tube it would still transmit pressure correctly -- unless the line actually became plugged with pipe tape or pipe compound or something else. A very small bore would make the gauge respond slower, but it would arrive eventually.
