That must have been exciting!! Esp. in the s-turns around the railroad tracks before Fermont!

Yeah, great road, eh? They've done a bit of work on it since 87, so it isn't quite the goat track you remember, but it has still gotta be the worst bit of gravel this side of I don't know where.

My brother and sister-in-law drove their 82 diesel up to visit me there a few years ago (on a round the continent tour that was supposed to take them to Terra del Fuego) and, on reflection and with careful comparisons to the best that Central America could offer, decided that the Trans-Labrador Highway was the worse road in the Americas.

Last summer, the road chewed both of my CV boots into shreds and killed 2 ball joints. This time, I've got spares...
