My concern has always been attracting animals with the drained out sink water. The sink water often has bits of food in it, especially if you wash dishes in the sink. Although I am comfortable camping in bear country, I have due respect for the animals and won't do something stupid like drain bits of nice-smelling food onto the ground under my camper.

I don't have a drain cap, though. I just put a bucket under the drain to catch the water, then dig a hole away from the site, pour the water in, and back fill. I don't like asking to be mauled.

"Garbage kills bears!" (an old bumper sticker I always wanted to get for my bus).
