My 1988 Syncro came with an aluminium canopy - quite a nice one too -
although it is not a factory canopy.  There are three styles of canvas
canopies - cab height (very rare), 1' above the cab (have lots of these) and
3' above the cab (you don't want this!).  I have also seen some nice,
probably one of a kind fibreglass canopies in Europe.
