If you're not going to stop and smell the roses, I'd take a plane.  With
the price of gas and lost time (at least 2 or 3 days), why bother driving?
Unless the engine is broken in (at least 500 miles), you risk ruining the
motor!

I suggest to stay around home for a couple of thousand miles to see that
all the replacements are working and to change the first oil.
I have been told, never to go on a long trip with a freshly repaired
vehicle.

currently 0 miles (not quite done yet) and lots of other new fixes.  Hoping
all goes well before I actually leave.
  I'm not looking to break any records this time, just get out there in one
piece and not lollygag around on my way (I have a deadline).
