I just subscribed to the list.  I have a 88 westie that I bought a year ago.
Learned a lot of the "typical" problems on my own. (i.e. Temp II sender, gas
tank cross over tube leaks,  lack of adequate tires..) Look forward to
learning from OP s experience...  If you ever make it to Powell River, BC
(you don't pass through, it's two ferry rides and at the end of the
road...), I have a RV pad with power you could use for a night or two.

Anyone ever put in a sunroof in place of the factory vent?  PO changed to a
big 14" opening vent and made a mess...  I was thinking of a glass pop
up/take out sunroof. (JC Whitney style)  Will the top collapse first time I
raise it?
