Subject: 15" Tire Rack Steel Mercedes wheel for Vanagon

These wheels will bolt on to any Vanagon without modification to the wheels. The center hole and lug holes are already the correct size. The offset is a little large for 2WD Vanagons though fine for Syncros. This means 2WD Vanagons will need spacers up front and possibly longer front bolts depending on the tire size used. The lug hole taper is not meant for ball shaped seats. Tapered (conical) lug nuts and bolts are desirable but the stock nuts and bolts will work. The lug holes are already drilled large enough for the VW 14mm lugs. For $40, these are much better IMHO than steel Passat wheels because they are made of thicker steel and they don't need any machining.

Tire Rack part # R11060, they need this info or they won't find the right wheels.

You would need to open them up to 14mm and cut a new seat.
