I hate to bring it up but...insufficient/improper tires make a *big* difference in crosswind handling. Try the archives before you ask though, it's been beaten to death numerous times already.

Also look for recent post from Frank Condelli re the flexible coupling in the steering linkage under the van which deteriorates invisibly and causes this sort of problem.
