I have an 86 auto that probably needs a new starter.

Having checked a few vendor sites I am now unsure which is the correct one.

SR18X0R 82 - 86 Auto SR18X 83.5 - 85 Auto SR25X 82 - 91 Auto SR401X 12/86 - 92 Auto SR401X 83 - 92 Manual SR401X 85 - 92 Auto

Do I need to pull the old one to see if it still has any markings on it. Is there really a difference in size or wiring. Is one better then the other?
