There's one sender,,, the dual sender. It is well grounded via the mounting strap. Then there''s the fresh wiring for the gauge and the old wire for the dash light. I'd rather have two separate senders, but that 's what i'm stuck with

I copy that tale on the oil pressure. I concur, I'm just looking for an end or reason other that the engine. Appt made for wednesday at a vw place. I'll figure out the oil pressure story. I also did my last oil change for the engine break in a tad early....800 miles, but I wanted to switch to 15w-50 oil to see what happens. I am going to hope that's it. Still, with this weather, I feel that the engine should have dealt with the 10w-40 fine.
