Subject: Firestone
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed

A few months ago when my Firestone Wilderness ATs started coming apart, the local dealer traded them for Wilderness HTs.

225/70 R14 98S, M/S, 1675, 44 PSI Max.

My 86 GL calls for 185 R 14C 6 PR, 39 front 48 rear OR 205/70 R14 97R, 30 front 40 rear.

The only clearance problem that I have is during full lock right hand turns the raised white letters (mounted in) rub on the brake line. An easy fix.

The dealers book rated the tires at full load capacity at 34 PSI.

I have been running 36 PSI in all for about 3,000 miles. I like the ride (a little stiff), it handled really well during the 75 MPH crosswinds here in El Paso recently, and even though it hasn't rained I drove through some really deep puddles at a high speed and it did very well.
