Greetings!!

You know, we got it for a great price and it's in excellent condition. The interior still smells new. Someone took good care of it. However, I had no clue as to this "3-4 slider" tranny problem. <sigh> Oh well, I still love it though.

You know, I tried that when I got it home and they didn't come on. Later after I wrote the original email, I got the crazy (and practical) idea that they may be high beams that are burnt out. Sure enough!! However, I must admit.. not much light come out of the regular low beams. You'd expect better lighting out of a composite headlight rather than a sealed beam because of the reflector being of a better design, but I guess the headlight design team at VW in the late 80's smoked too much crack or something... :)

Thanks again!!
