Volks -

Before you do anything, you might check with your insurance agent.

I had to argue a bit to get my Westphalia classified as a motor home in Idaho, and have to pay an extra $10 per year for an RV sticker, but it saves me a lot more on my insurance. Over $100 per year IIRC.

My agent explained that insurance companies figure that RVs don't spend as much time on the road, especially in town, and generally have a lower accident rate, so they pay less for insurance.

Plus, if it's insured as a motor home, all of the RV innards are insured in case of an accident!

Get some more info and see which way is to your benefit.

I just went through this in Colorado with my '90 Syncro Westy and they would not let me register it as a passenger vehicle. <Big Snip> _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com
