Christopher,

Remove the gas cap and you will find 3 screws. Remove these three screws and you should be able to remove the filler neck as you lower the gas tank.

How do you disconnect the filler neck from the gas tank before letting the tank down? It looked like the filler neck goes through a metal beam on the other side of which it enters the gas tank and is connected somehow. I gotta replace my center shift rod bushing (gonna get rid of the squalking duck once and for all).
