As a further aside re meeting listees, I am lucky in
that I live right along the migration route for VW
campers on the Calif. coast.  There is a park across
the street from my place that is beautiful and
overlooks the ocean.  It is one of the few level and
safe places where you can park/camp in SF (without
being tossed by the cops).  Every springs, the busses
start showing up, camped for a night or two.  I have
gone over to meet a few, but never met a listee there,
although i have had the pleasure of meeting 20-30
listees over the years.  Anyway, if you are going to be
in SF and need to do a little work on your van or a
place to park, drop me a line.
