My apologies for any misinformation I may have sent, I was unaware that
Mercedes uses 14mm ball seats. My information about lug and seat diameters
on Mercedes wheels is limited to my personal experience with the BBS wheels
I have, and the information in the wheel and tire info section on
Vanagon.com. The original post had no information on lug diameter, so I
incorrectly assumed that modifications to the lug seat would probably be
required.
As for lug seat changing, I chose a conical seat because a 60 degree
countersink bit was inexpensive and readily available, changing a ball seat
to a conical seat would remove less material than enlarging a 12mm ball seat
to a 14mm ball seat, and 14mm conical seat lug nuts are readily available
and inexpensive.
