Hi list people, After finally finishing my 2 month's worth of weekends spring tuneup on my van this saturday, I got to take it out for the first ride of this year. My van WAS working great, drove about 50 miles or so on the highway, then stopped at a stoplight, and upon taking off, my van sputtered and died. At first I thought I was out of gas, since I forgot to fill up because I was so excited to go for a ride. As it turns out, we got some gas and it still wouldn't start. My guess is that the fuel pump died. My van was towed home behind a truck, and if I let the clutch out it would run fine, but as soon as I put the clutch in to rev it to see if it would stay running, it would quit again. I have replaced the fuel lines, the fuel filter, the plugs, and cap and rotor. The fuel pump is running when I try to start it, but no gas is getting to the engine. Am I on the right track thinking its the fuel pump? thanks, Kim _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com |
