I've decided to replace my stater/ignition switch in my 81 Vanagon - the plastic electrical piece below the key lock cylinder in the steering column. The Bently says to remove the steering column lock - which I think that they mean the key ignition switch - but I'm not sure. To remove the lock cylinder - Bently talks about drilling out the housing to push the pin out. I rather not do this if not required. Help from anyone who has done this? Please P-mail me , because I'm acessing the list through the web right now Thanks John 81 Westy |
