Okay, this is a silly thread, but what the heck: Here in Salt Lake and the surounding areas that my Westy knows well we get and give waves to any other VW bus / splitty / vanagon / westy or not on the road. It's rare to pass a VW van and not get a wave. Except Eurovans - they don't wave as readily - some do, but it's rare. Other VWs don't care at all and don't wave. VW vans don't care about me if I'm in another VW - only my Westy gets the waves. A couple of days ago I was driving my Cabriolet top-down on a back road near work. Another top-down Cabriolet passed in the opposite direction and we exchanged waves. That's probably the only wave my Cabriolet has ever got. Damian |
