I don't think that's the case, though I can generalize that Los angeleans
tend to be pretty insular, and won't wave to their mothers. Vanagons are
pretty common in SF and Seattle, so we aren't as unusual as elsewhere.
In Phoenix, we generally get a wave, and, as I recall, we've gotten pretty
friendly reactions just about anywhere else.
