I agree - it seems that there are too many people out there who are not
willing to take responcibeity for their own actions and always look to
putting the blame on someone else for their own stupidity.

Good thing the legal system in Canada would throw a case like this out!

Whatever happened to an individual taking responsibility for their own
actions?  No one forced that family to get in that van that day!

And a woman gets $$$ from McDonalds when she spills hot coffee in her
lap.....

And when a kid gets creamed riding his bike at night with no lights, the
bike manufacturer pay$ big buck$..........

Now I can't fault anyone for taking advantage of the legal system
opportunties available to them under the law, BUT, I CAN call into
question their moral character, or lack thereof!

While I do not wish pain and suffering on anyone, having been through
enough myself, if this husband and father did not believe he was
transporting his family with a reasonable degree of safety, then they
never should have gotten into the vehicle, plain and simple.

This type of legal judgment and damage award makes me boil!

Sorry, had to vent, rant mode off.....
