Okay, I can refute this one. One time, I was running up Alabama 255 (Research Park Blvd.), just off of I-565 in Huntsville, AL. I had Donder running flat out as usual (~66mph), and I saw a Eurovan coming down the onramp off of Bradford Drive. The fast lane was packed with rush-hour drivers doing their damnedest to get around my smoky, brown diesel VW, despite the fact I was breaking the speed limit. Anyway, the guy gets down to the bottom of the ramp, looks over, and notes the Vanagon. He gave it a quick lookover, and shot me a thumbs up! Stunned, I waved back, and slowed to let him in. Upon reflection, that's the most respect Donder's ever been given, except from me. ;)
