I can't imagine that happening to me. I've never had any bad experiences. If nothing else people just laugh, then I just smile, honk my funny little horn, & give em the peace sign. It's amazing, everywhere I go someone seems to have a story about a buddy of their's that used to have a vanagon. It really is great. I've decided there's a part of everyone that wants to own a VW bus, we're just the only ones the realize how great it is to act on that desire.

When we're on the highway it's entertaining to watch people's reactions. Most will smile or nod approvingly. Kids will point and try to get everyone else in the car too look. A few days ago a kid in a gas station asked if it was one of them new Microbus things. > Gary > ----- Original Message ----- > From: chrisadubs > To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM > Sent: Sunday, April 29, 2001 10:59 PM > Subject: Van reactions >

I was speechless as I am not used to having people yelling vehicular descriptions at complete strangers. My wife had the presence of mind to shoot them the finger but we all know what kind of altercations that can cause. Stuff like this happen to anyone else out there? By the way, drove 130 miles this weekend in the van and not one bus/vanagon to be seen. >
