With 4 Vanagons under my belt, I can say that this is just the nature of the beast. When we went to look at the first Vanagon I bought, my buddy and I puzzled over the myriad of nicks around the inside of the drivers door frame. All our speculation was put to rest right after the test drive as soon as I unbuckled the seat belt.
