Well I wave at all the older VWs... In fact last year on the way home from a great day at the dunes (in my 74 thing) I was going down a back country road in the middle of nowhere, when I saw the familiar silouete of an old bug approaching. As we passed each other We both smiled, nodded our heads and waved. (BTW it was an Old cabrio..maybe late 50's)

The day was just too perfect. I spent it with my oldest daughter showing the guys in big american 4x4's that a little VW can climb the big hills also! Just the chance meeting of these to old VWs in the middle of nowhere really was the cap to a unforgetable day.

Sorry about the lack of vanagon content - But remember my story the next time you see any old VW then Smile and Wave away ! You may just make the other guys day
