FWIW, I can live with mechanical needs, as long as the body looks good. I don't do bondo anymore, but the price leaves you a margin for mechanical repairs. Every used auto is a crap shoot, and anything can happen at any time. Its gut check time dude <g> If you fear mechanicals, you should know there is more experience on this list than anywhere outside of VW of America, and if you consider the caring attitude of the guys here, the list wins hands down.
