I noticed tha same last summer when i drove my stripped down westy to the paint shop. Was like being inside a big tin can. Funny how noises (unpleasent ones) really make you hate a machine, like the damn buzzy little Bellanca seaplane that flies near my home on summer weekends. Loud and grating, you have believe that the motor/prop combo was designed by a team of deaf engineers. It doesn't help that it flies by just barely above its stall speed, prolonging its presence.
