Ran into a small problem the other day when I realized that I can't check my ignition timing by looking at the timing marks on the flywheel. The diesel bellhousing is located 30 degrees or so from where it is on the golf bellhousing and does the diesel flywheel even have timing marks?! So my connumdrum is what is the easiest way of checking the timing? I never checked it when I put the engine in because at that point it ran fine, but now that it is getting pretty hot outside the van seems to have developed a hesitation on takeoff. So everyone knows it is a 1.8L Cis-e 10:1 compresson engine from a Golf GT. Thanks, Dave K. |
