Subject: Help: 85 Vanagon misfires exactly at 2900 RPM
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII

My 85 Vanagon Westfalia often (not always) misses at exactly 2900 RPM and at no other RPM. It's Very noticeable when going through 2900 RPM under load!

I've replaced the air flow meter with a new rebuilt one and replaced the the O2 sensor. Neither fixed the problem. The engine has almost 200,000 miles and I just put in new rings, rod bearings, and machined the heads. Any ideas? Please!
