Speaking of interior temps. I was on the phone with Solargard today, and
their HP Quantum is the only tinted window film for cars that is guaranteed
fade proof. He said that the other HP's like Charcoal won't color shift but
since they have a dye in addition to the sputtered metal after about 5-6
years it will begin to fade. The HP Quantum is a sputtered metal film that
is a blend of metals (exactly which metals, how many, and in what ratio is
their little secret). He also said that the Quantum is like a camelian. It
will pick up on whatever color your interior is, and thus the same exact
film on different cars will look slightly different, that it will match the
car better than a dyed or sputtered plus dye film. Heat protection on a
sputtered film (dye or no dye) is significantly better than a dye (with no
sputter) film. Modern Technology.
