As far as the parts go, you'll need: 823 711 643 A - ball socket for gearshift lever 823 711 199 - pressure spring 251 711 645 - hemisphere 823 711 255 - bearing for socket (need 2) 171 711 279 - rubber mounting 171 711 227 A - spacer ring All the above pieces you can pre-assemble and drop in as a unit. That's what I did. 171 711 166 - bushing (2 required) - these are the bushings where the pin goes through the shift rod. You have to get at these by dropping the spare tire and dropping the bottom off the shift box. They make a big difference too and are cheap. Hope that helps, Keith Adams Calgary, Alberta, Canada 86 Westy "Roxy" / 87 Syncro porject "Hugh" Hector Moreno wrote: > Hola amigos, > I am down here in cancun and I need to replace the bushings in the > shifter, > does anyone know the parts numbers of such pieces so that I can look for > them before I take them apart? > Gracias!!!! > Hector > (the Only '86 crew cab diesel in southern mexico)
