Subject: Timing marks 2.1
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

With all this discussion on timing, I went to look at my 2.1 and found that there is a single notch on the pulley, which I assume is the timing mark for the motor. However, what I can't figure out is which way the mark will move (when using a timing light) to be advanced or retarded. (As I write this I'm thinking I should just rev the motor and the direction the mark moves will be the advanced direction) But I wanted to verify this first.

If I wanted to run slightly advanced, is there a way to figure out how to mark the pulley (degree it) ? Can I just measure degrees off the edge of the pulley?
