I'm sure this may have been mentioned before. They used to do the same thing
to VW bugs way back in the early to mid 70's. They even offered to pay for
painting the vehicle the color base that they needed. I registered for one of
these waaay back then.

They paid something like $45 a month. You had to get an inspection and repair
of the graphics as necessary every month when you collected your check. The
also made sure that your odometer read at least 800 miles a month or you were
taken out of the program.

Since gas was less than $0.50 a gallon, that $45 got me around quite far.
