Ladies and Gentlemen,

        I am bringing back the A/C system on my '84 Westfalia for a long trip down
south this summer.  I ordered a new compressor (I know it's shot), receiver/dryer
and expansion valve.

        Looking through the Bentley, I cannot find any info on pre-1986 A/C systems.
  Most of it is going to be very straightforward.  The only question I have
is where is exactly is the expansion valve and how much of a pain is it
going to be to swap?  Is it the same as the 1986-up systems?  Am I going
to have to take apart the whole rear cabinet to get to it?
