Joe There is a chart of the resistances in ohms per any specific temperature in the Pro Manual on page 18. I think there is the same chart in Bentley.

It shows about 1000 ohms at current startup temps. i. e. 70 degree F. and about 100 ohms at warm engine 120 degrees C or around 200 degrees F.

I've been thinking about adding a rheostat in line with the temp 2 sensor, but that won't work will it. I'm not a "electron chaser" , but wouldn't the rheostat give you more resistance not less.

So much for that idea. I guess its time to buy a factory temp 2 sensor. the after market one seem to run colder thus richer. Does anyone have any solutions to this.

Steve

Thanks for replying Mark.

My Westy is a 1987.

I have been thinking about substituting a rheostat for the Temp II sender so that I can control that variable. I could then observe the O2 voltage as a function of the TII voltage. Perhaps more importantly I could observe the drivability as a function of TII voltage.

Has anyone solved for the resistance of the TII sensor from the observed voltage across it and correlated this with a water temperature measurement?

Joe
