Emmet -

I looked at their web site. The Integrity is a passenger tire with a load range of 83 to 92 in 185 to 205 14" tires. Too light.

Just for grins, I looked at the Wrangler HT, which is an all-season light truck tire. On the top of the page -

http://www.goodyear.com/us/tires/tirecatalog/WRLHTSize.html

They offer a 185R14C with a capacity of 1710 Lbs, which is more than enough for a Westy.

I have no idea how good that tire is, but if you want to go Goodyear, it looks like they have one that is stout enough. With those specs it should be able to go to 48 psi, which is what VW recommends for the rear on my '87 Westy.

On the same page they also offer an LT195R/14 which is a load range 93 (1435 lbs). That is lighter than VW recommends, but a lot of people are using that size and spec. I would go for the sturdier tire listed above, if I had the choice.

I have no idea how they would handle and wear.

Good luck!

PS - I just set the list to nomail until I get back from Vancouver, so I'll talk to you all then!

<SNIP> I live in a pretty isolated area and the only real tire shop here is Goodyear. I've called and they recommend their integrity tire. <SNIP> _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com
