Alfred; I am pretty sure the TEMPII sensor IS the same type of sensor as the TEMPI on your bus, it is on my 86. Allow the vehicle's temperature to equalize , say overnight, and compare the resistances of the two. This is easiest at the ECU plug where both have a common pin (ground).
