Hi Volks! The eternal question: can I run my Eurospec I-4 on 87 octane during the summer w/o damaging the engine? I am getting 24mpg and great performance on 91 octane, but my pocketbook is screaming bloody murder. $1.85 for a gallon of premium in Kansas City, Missouri. This summer, my family and I will start out on another 3 months grand adventure, first Ocracoake Island on the Outer Banks, then Colorado, Utah, Idaho, maybe Banff. But the way the gas price is developing, I don't know how far our budget will allow us to go. Please tell me that I can run the Westy on 87 octane. Thanks, Hermann de Boer Kansas City,Misery 87 Westy GL (277 000) 2.0lEurospec conversion (45 000) _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com |
