Hi all, I've got the head off my '82 diesel vanagon to have it redone. When I look at the block (still in the van), there are two coolant circulation holes around the bottom of the piston closest to the rear of the van where the coolant hasn't drained down like the others. Is this a sign of a blockage in the block somehow? I've reached down in with a wire and poked around a little, but I don't seem to encounter any resistance that feels abnormal. Anything else to do/check? This is my first time working on the head of an engine, and I don't want to ignore this if there is a block. TIA, Chris |
