Hey fellow Vanagonites,
I have searched the archives, but have note come up with any solid info on this. So how does one go about installing factory cruise on a vanagon? I know this my be a difficult project but I am a decent mechanic and a commited VW nut, and have not really been satisfied with the aftermarket kits out there, I want to keep my westie genuine. In the archives I keep finding bits on using audi components, but which ones, models, years? What parts constitute a cruise system? I will admit I have never really worked on a cruise system before, but have done almost everything else to a car. Please help, My right ankle is begging you! BTW, the patient needing this transplant is an ‘83 watercooled with automatic. Who is this Helmut dude? I keep seeing his name pop up in the archives concerning using audi parts, does anyone know how I can contact him? Thanx everyone…………John Tomljenovic
