So very true. Listee William Kennedy even has a website on it. There's a few of these running around in my end of the country. One of the ones featured in one of those VW magazines is a fellow from the Bay Area. He used an early 2.7 case (for easier smog compliance). Put bigger pistons and cylinders and .... installed a turbo on it. The one thing all the magazine featured 911-powered vans is they all used MSDS parts. Even the fellow from Hawaii (Knightworks did the conversion IIRC) used MSDS parts. If you want the lowbuck (well, actually no such thing when the name Porsche is on the label) approach, talk to Mr. Kennedy. No relation to JFK or the Kennedy who's doing the Subaru adapters etc. An online buddy of mine in Jamaica has a 3.2 in his Vanagon now with a 3.6 in progress just as soon as Marty from MSDS gets all the conversion parts to him.
