Why oh why couldn't they just bite the bullet and copy the Japanese? They
finally learned from our Asian friends how to position the window switches
(on the doors, not tossed in the general direction of the
transmission/exhaust tunnel).

And also why do the Euro cheapskates keep fitting LHD column switches to
RHD cars? DANGEROUS! The Japanese make column switches for particular sides
of the road... so the light switch is always toward the driver's door.
