If you take a look in your cupboard (the one under the sink) you'll find that the shelf (and the cover over the bottom works) are held in place by several plastic buttons nailed into the walls of the cupboard. The shelf has six of them and the bottom cover probably four -- I forget. Anyhoo, these silly things are held in there by hope more than anything else; they're sort of like fat push-pins. They gradually get loose and slide out of the wall.

Last Friday I had to make four replacements for myself, and I went ahead and made eight more to take to the Rites of Spring with me, where they all went to worthy and/or needy folks.

So anyways, I guess I can make as many as needed -- brass buttons that take a #6 x 1" woodscrew which goes beautifully into the hole that the push-pin came out of. Is there a demand? I'd prolly want something like ten bucks shipped (US) for a set of four with screws -- pretty expensive for some crummy little buttons, but these are really nice ones <g>. First set I make I'll put a picture up on the website.

Talk to me, people...
