Not so Sudhir !! Most all paints today, are to be applied low pressure, high volume, which is condusive to orange peal, and lots of it. Look at the new cars gig down the road---especially Ford and GM's. Lots of orange peal.

Be real careful how much paint you take off, because after you get done sanding and buffing, and polishing, you have removed the "skin" from the top of the paint, that helps protect the pigment from the UV of the suns rays, and that ole, enamel won't last very long.

It's a much wiser decision to refinish anything today with urethanes, but it's too late now.

Get a rubber sanding block, and knock down the nubs with 1500 wet sanding paper. Use Dawn dish washing detergent in the water,as it will help break the surface tension of the paint, and the paper will cut easier. Polish with 3-M finesse, and your done and you haven't removed mountains of paint.
