Tony,

<< Carat has a rear window wiper, sprayer but I can't for the life 'o me find a switch on/near the dash that operates it...any help appreciated.>>

Push the wiper control stalk forward to the front of the vehicle. That should activate the rear wiper which is on an intermittent function. Holding the stalk forward will also give you a squirt of washer fluid for the back window. Push again to turn off.

<< Also, since I don't have an owners manual -- could someone kindly explain the operation of the fresh air/heat sliders? Those 4 kinda make sense but appreciate some help here. >>

Top (first) lever controls air flow to the windshield & 2 side window vents. Second lever controls temperature (to right hotter - left cooler) Third lever controls air flow to the footwell area Fourth level is for air flow to the roof vents

The knobs controls fan speed.

The other fan switch (closest to the ignition key) towards the driver is for the rear heater under the rearmost bench.
