OH BOY! I HAVE TO DISAGREE COMPLETELY. I bought my '84 from a listee last year. A better PO you could not ask for. The asking price was reasonable and he was completely honest as to his evaluation of the vehicle...in fact he was too conservative in his estimations of the vehicle. every Westy owner that has seen mine can't believe the deal we made. Additionally, he knew far more about Westies than I did and passed on a lot of little things that I have really since appreciated.

No flames intended...I simply have had a completely different experience.
